Gay Marriage Weddings

Gay Marriage Weddings

History was made in New Zealand on 17 April as the bill was passed to legalize same sex marriages!  So as of 19 August 2013, gay marriage ceremonies can take place and same sex couples can experience the same legal rights as everyone else.

I have always been a strong believer in equality for EVERYONE and so it goes without saying I have been a supporter for marriage equality for same sex couples. As a professional wedding celebrant, I believe every single person should have the right to be married to the person they love, and this should not be dependent on their sexual orientation.

Designing Gay Marriage Ceremonies

When we meet for the first time I provide you with an overview of my wedding celebrant process that we will use to plan your ceremony, and discuss and agree a timeline. The process I use to create gay marriage ceremonies is exactly the same as for wedding ceremonies.  Working in consultation with you, I will find out what your plans and concepts are for the day. From there I design a personalised wedding ceremony to incorporate and reflect you and your partner; your ideas; and all other relevant elements.

Religious Gay Marriage Weddings?

As well as being a registered Auckland celebrant, I am an ordained Minister. Some members of the clergy (and Celebrants) will use religion as the reason to not conduct same sex wedding ceremonies. My belief is that you and your partner have the right to choose to have a religious ceremony – and it would be my privilege to perform this for you.

If you are planning your wedding and would like a wedding celebrant who will create the ceremony you have dreamed about, who will support you by taking the stress element out of the ceremony, and who will be fun to work with while on the journey to your special day – then please get in contact with me.
